LOCAL BUCKEYES IN THE NEWS
ALEX ETCHILL -coming soon
Kristin Watt was our outstanding annual meeting keynote speaker this year. Here's a peak at some of Kristen's accomplishments. We are really proud that Kristin is a Buckeye!
Kristin is the daughter of Ken (Rhonda) and Janet Watt. She is a 1981 Huron High School graduate with more accolades than I can fit on this whole website. Kristin received her B.S.B.A. cum laude from The Ohio State University in 1985 and her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University Moritz JD in 1989 from the Moritz College of Law. She is a partner with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, specializing in environmental law. Kristin was a four year letter winner for The Ohio State University Women's Basketball Team from 1981-1985, serving as co-captain her junior and senior years. Because of her strategic knowledge of the game, she has been "the voice" of the Women's Basketbasll Team for the past 21 years.
This past fall, Kristin received the Barbie Tootle Buckeye Spirit Award which was created by the Varsity O Women's Alumnae to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated unconditional loyalty and support of women's athletics at The Ohio State University. Many of us were able to see Kristin honored for this prestigious award at half time during the season opener of the football team. Kristin was the first president of the Women's Varsity O in 1992 and served the board for 10 years. Her dedication to the University is exemplified by her service to The Ohio State University Alumni Board Nominating Committee, National Letters Winner Conference Planning Committee, The Ohio State University Alumni Advisory Board, The Ohio State University Athletic Council--Alumni Representative, The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law National Council and The Ohio State University Golf Course Green Committee.
Four of our 2009 Scholars recently attended the Alumni Scholars Reception. Here are some photos from that event. Go Erie County kids!
